Functions and operation
Operating principle
When the door is closed, the bolt is extended to the locking position by electric
motor. As long as electric current flows, the bolt is held in place and the door is
locked (fail-unlocked operating principle).
Monitoring contacts
The
escape door locking system 352M
features door recognition, so the bolt is
only extended when the door is closed. A potential-free contact signals the door
status (door closed or open).
The integrated potential-free armature contact can be used to electronically
monitor the locking status.
The monitoring contact can be used to monitor the door’s locking status, so
that an electric door drive can be used (opens) precisely when the door is
unlocked, for example. The
locked
signal can be used for central building surveil-
lance, for example.
