Oven stand continued
After laying the first course of blocks on mortar, check the stand is square and level. Continue dry laying
blocks, staggering the joints .Cut blocks as required with a hammer and stone chisel or a brick saw.
After 3 layers have been laid, place two pieces of 2” x 2” x 1/4” metal angle to support the blocks over the
opening, Cut rebar to fit down every other hole in the blocks and fill the blocks with concrete and allow to
set.
