8.6 External communicaon
For communicaon with external devices, AquaVENT
®
FD140i has a USB Type B connecon. This is used for
changing the soGware version on the device. Please contact the manufacturer for further informaon on
the USB specificaon. Contact details are stated on the device serial plate.
A change to the device soGware shall only be conducted by persons trained in the correct process for this
acvity. The cap that is present on the USB port is intended to provide an electrical safety funcon, in
addion to protecng the USB port from environmental impacts. Only devices in conformance with the
requirements of IEC 60950-1 or IEC 60601-1 should be connected to the USB port.
8.7 Electromagnec environment

FD140i is intended for use in the electromagnec environment detailed at 8.1 Technical
Specificaons. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the device is operated in such an
environment.
