Continue to raise the Arc-Rest until the patient is in
a comfortably supported standing position (see
Fig. 40).
If walking practice is to be carried out ensure the
patient is correctly and comfortably supported,
adjust the body support straps equally to take up
any slack and be supportive but not too tight and
make adjustment to the Arc-Rest as necessary.
When the patient is standing confidently release the
brakes and pull the lift slightly away from the
patient until the Proactive Pad is clear of the
patients legs (see Fig. 41).
Re-apply the chassis brakes then carefully remove
the Proactive Pad complete with attachment
bracket by lifting upwards and store carefully for
future use. (See Fig. 42).
With the Pro-Active pad
removed and the brakes
released, the patient will be able to walk at their
own pace, while being supported by the
Sara Plus
.
(See Fig. 43).
