The Lights Are Off
Have you checked if:
·
there is power to the unit?
·
the main power switch to the house is on?
The Red Warning Light (C) is Always On
Have you checked if:
·
the door is closed properly and the seal is still OK?
·
the door is being opened too often?
·
the temperature knob is on the right setting?
·
there is too much frost buildup?
The Motor Runs Constantly
Have you checked if:
·
the thermostat is on the right setting?
The Appliance Makes Too Much Noise
Have you checked if:
·
the freezer is level?
·
the appliance has been installed between cabinets that
vibrate and make noise?
·
it is the noise made by the refrigerant, which occurs even
when the compressor is off (this is not a defect)?
Blinking Indicator Lights and Activated Alarm
The appliance is equipped with a black out device (extended
electrical power outage). This device is deactivated by press-
ing the “
B
” button (alarm off) once and holding it down for
at least two seconds, until the blinking green lights turn off.
The Motor Does Not Start
In order to ensure that the motor starts correctly, the appli-
ance is equipped with a protective feature that prevents the
motor from starting for 7 minutes after the last time it was
turned on.
The Green Lights for -16 and -24 or -18 and -
21 Come On Together
The appliance is fitted with a self-diagnosis system that de-
tects when the sensor is operating incorrectly. This problem
is signalled by the combination of LEDs (-16 and -24, or -18
and -21) coming on at the same time.
If this occurs, call your Service Centre to have replacement
and/or repair work done.
Troubleshooting
If despite all of the checks the appliance does still not oper-
ate properly and the problem persists, call your nearest Serv-
ice Centre and provide them with the following informa-
tion: the nature of the problem, the model code (Mod.)
and the relative numbers (S/N) written on the data plate of
the appliance (see example in the following figure).
Never call upon the services of unauthorized person-
nel and do not accept spare parts that are not origi-
nals.
