Reset Guide Point
The reset guide point is intended to quickly change
the guide point to the current web position. The
feature is used in applications with frequent web
width changes. Instead of manually moving the
guide point using the gross or fine guide point
adjustment, the guide point can be reset to the
current edge position with the press of a button.
When in manual mode, pressing the reset guide
point button will automatically set the new guide
point to the current edge position as shown.
The change in the guide point needs to be
confirmed by pressing the “Accept” button that
appears whenever the reset guide point button is
pressed. The confirmation is intended to prevent
any accidental changes to the guide point. If the
guide point change is not accepted within 10 seconds the change will be disregarded and the previously
accepted guide point will be restored.
NOTE:
This functionality has no meaning for sensing application. However, some custom applications with
custom firmware may use the functionality.
Actuator Position Bar
The actuator position bar provides a real-time electronic position of the actuator. The extension and
retraction of the actuator is shown by the movement of the green bar. As the actuator position approaches
the extreme limits the bar changes color to yellow (alert) or red (warnings) indicating the closeness of the
actuator position to its maximum electronic stroke limits (as shown below). Once the electronic
limits are reached the actuator would no longer move in that direction, in which case the bar would be
either completely red (fully extended) of completely black (fully retracted).
