Checks while sowing
Once all the previously mentioned operations have been
carried out, the seeder is ready to work. However we recom-
mend you run a few meters in both directions to make sure
that you are sowing as required. In particular:
•
The coulters supply lines are positioned correctly and
there should be no constrictions or breaks along all the
lines;
•
Sowing depth corresponds to the desired one;
•
The coverage of the seed is sufficient;
•
The driving wheel turns in a constant and uniform way;
•
Avoid turning corners and driving in the reverse, when
the machine is under ground. ALWAYS LIFT the machine
to change direction and move in reverse gear.
•
Ensure that sowing speed is aligned with the type of
ground being worked in order to avoid any machine
breakage or damage.
•
It is forbidden for people to stand or work in proximity of
containers with chemical substances, or open containers
when the seeder is operating, or about to be operated.
6.6. REFILLING THE TANK
The tanks can be refilled manually.
Remember that when lifting weights exceeding
25 kg
, more
than one operator is required.
During tank loading and un-
loading, the operator must use
adequate PPE (gloves, overalls,
masks, etc.).
•
The tanks must be filled when the land to be sowed has
been reached.
•
Before refilling the tank, follow the instructions for calcu-
lating the minimum front ballast to apply on the tractor
in order to ensure the necessary stability for the trac-
tor-seeder.
•
Lower the lifter completely and activate the tractor’s
parking brake.
•
All the tank’s loading and unloading operations are
carried out on the land to be sowed, with the seeder
stopped on the land, the frame open, parking brake en-
gaged, engine off and ignition key removed from the
control panel.
•
It is advisable to carry out these operations in a flat area
without obstacles.
•
Ensure that nobody can approach the chemical sub-
stances.
•
Make sure no foreign objects enter the tank during the
filling operations.
•
Do not overload the hopper beyond the permitted max-
imum load.
6.7. SEED TANK DRAIN
To empty the seeds from the hopper; follow the instructions
below:
•
Act on the lever
14
at both ends to lower the grain de-
scent line support
16
.
