The featured settings are:
Setting Description
XHCI Pre-Boot Driver
Enables/disables the XHCI driver support before booting to the O.S.
Enabled is the default.
xHCI Mode
Configures how the xHCI controller works.
Select Disabled to make the onboard USB 3.0 ports function like
2.0 ones, which is optimal for the OS that does not have built-in
USB 3.0 driver
Select Enabled to make the onboard USB 3.0 ports function like
3.0 ones.
Select Auto to have the onboard USB 3.0 port function like 2.0
ports before the O.S. loads USB 3.0 driver, which is the default.
Select Smart Auto to have the BIOS avoid downgrading the USB
3.0 ports to 2.0 before the O.S. loads USB 3.0 driver.
HS Port # Switchable
Enables/disables a USB 2.0 port to/from USB 3.0 functionality.
Enabled is the default.
