ORCHARD SPRAYER PROGRAMME FUNCTIONS

4.1

Main differences compared to the version for the spraying machine

This software has been specially developed for orchard sprayers and optimised for machines with mul-

ti-split sprayer booms, where it is difficult to calculate dosage correctly when some sections are closed

and others are not.

The main functions of this software are:

Storing of 5 different row distances:

the time required to carry out the settings is minimised when plots of land are treated with different row

distances.

"Correct" calculation of dosing and surface sprayed upon closure of several sprayer boom

sectors:

this calculation is precise thanks to the entry of the flow rate values for the individual sprayer booms.

These functions have implied the modification or addition of new menus or procedures:

Programming the flow rate of the sprayer booms (Menu 5.0 section 4.2):

possibility to programme 5 different flow rate combinations for the individual sprayer booms.

I

When the flow meter and two sprayer booms are fitted on the system, the sprayer boom flow

rate is calculated automatically and the0 setting of the parameter described above is, there-

fore, not required.

In circumstances where:

- the system is fitted with more than two sprayer booms, the data must be set.

- adjustment is carried out by means of the pressure transducer.

- you require the correct pressure to be shown on the display without using the pressure

transducer.

The flow rate of the sprayer booms must be programmed correctly by setting the parameter.

Selection of the flow rate of the sprayer booms (section 4.3)

Selection/modification of the row distance (section 4.4):

up to 5 row distances can be chosen and set when programming the applied volume (rd. X).

Configuration of the operating programmes (section 4.5):

this function is used to set 12 different operating programmes.

Selection of the operating programmes (section 4.6):

the button, which is used for selecting the previously set nozzle on the sprayer machine, is used for

selecting an operating programme (also preset) on the orchard sprayer version; the operating

programme is the combination of row width/dosing.

Signalling of ambiguous section opening (section 4.7):

when there are more than 2 sections and the combination of the closed/open sections does not allow

the correct calculation of the applied volume (e.g. 3 sections open and 1 closed) an acoustic and visual

alarm signal is triggered.

User programming:

programming of the nozzle flow rate values (Menu 4.0) has been removed; this parameter is no longer

required on account of the setting of the flow rates of the sprayer booms (Menu 5.0).
