OPERATION OF THE LIFT
Before operating the lift for the first time each
day, turn on the water and run the lift up and
completely down two or three times to purge air
from the system. Always perform this operation
before anyone is seated on the lift. Once all air
has been purged from the system, raise the seat
to the up position.
Note: Purge the air from the lift every day. Air
in the system may cause the seat to drop several
inches suddenly. Make sure that the air has been
purged from the system before allowing anyone
to use the lift.
If your unit has been fitted with the anti-rotation
lock option, insert the T-handle lock pin through
the 1”x 2” tubing at the deck transfer position.
This will prevent the lift from accidentally rotating while loading or unloading a person from the
lift. The only installation required for the locking mechanism is a 3/4” diameter hole aligned
with the T-handle lock in the desired stationary position.
Once the person is seated rotate the seat until it is over the water and lower the seat slowly by
opening the valve a little at a time. Speed, both up and down, can be controlled by the amount of
valve opening.
When exiting the pool, position the person in the seat. When the occupant is ready to go, turn
the valve to engage the water pressure and raise the seat. Rotate the seat over the deck and lock
in position to transfer.
SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
ROUTINE INSPECTION
1. It is recommended that the unit be inspected periodically for damaged parts or excessive
wear.
2. Check the screws, nuts, bolts, and hose clamps to be sure all are snug. Clean any parts that
show signs of corrosion and replace any worn or damaged parts.
3. If the stainless steel has become discolored from chemical additives in the pool water or from
a corrosive atmosphere, it can be cleaned using a soft Scotchbrite® pad and a general purpose
cleaner such as Formula 409® or Fantastic®. Never use steel wool pads to clean the lift. After
