Light Level Sensor
Useful Tip:
Use this in conjunction with remote internet
access to ensure that your lights are working as they should.
Insert the fibre optic light pipe into the Light Pipe Input on
the controller. Place the lensed end of the light pipe in the
area in which you want to monitor light levels. Ensure that the
lights are at their maximum and then use the menu system to
navigate to LIGHT CA and select YES to calibrate the level to
100%. You will then be able to monitor what level your lights
are at. Alternatively you can measure how much light hits
certain areas of your aquarium: Use LIGHT CA to calibrate
to the lights’ maximum by activating it when the light pipe
lens is next to the light source, and then you will be able to
measure the percentage of light at different parts of the tank
my moving the lens to different areas.
Temperature Sensor
Useful Tip:
If you already have a thermometer/temperature
sensor in your tank, the SmartControl 8 temperature
sensor could be used to monitor the temperature of your
lights instead.
