When the controller has entered ‘RUN’ mode (i.e. the clock
is displayed) you may program the unit as detailed below:-
• Pressing the ENTER button will cycle through the
available menus (see the separate Menu Guide sheet). If
no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the SmartControl 8
unit will return to ‘RUN’ mode.
• Pressing
h
in ‘RUN’ mode will cycle through ON, OFF,
and AUTO modes, where ON is all channels 100% on,
OFF is all channels 0%, and AUTO resumes the user set
program.
• Pressing
i
in ‘RUN’ mode will initiate the‘Storm Function’
(see below for details of this function).
• Pressing
i
whilst in ‘Storm Function’ will exit and resume
the user set program.
• A DEMO mode can be entered by holding the ENTER
button during power up. The display will show ‘DEMO’
In DEMO mode, the lamps continuously brighten and dim
according to the following set program:-
Ramp up to 100% over 15 seconds
Ramp down to 5% over 15 seconds
Storm function for 10 seconds
Ramp up to 100% over 15 seconds
Ramp down to 5% over 15 seconds
The unit will then exit demo mode and return to the
user set program
Setup
• First follow the Menu Guide sheet to set the current
time (under TIME SETTING)
• For each channel set your timings
• Lamps start to brighten when the ON TIME equals the
current time. A RAMP time of 1 is equivalent to 1 minute
before lamps are at full brightness.
• Lamps will start to dim when the OFF TIME equals the
current time.
• RAMP has a range of 1 to 240 (1 minute to 4 hours).
