1.2.3 Power Unit
The RBS TRITON™ 35 skimmer head is hydraulically powered by a Diesel/Hydraulic
Power Unit.
1.2.4 Transfer Pump Assembly
The transfer pump is an external pump diesel or hydraulically driven. The
suction/discharge hose is connected via a camlock fitting. The camlocks are supplied
such that hook-up of the pump cannot be done incorrectly.
1.2.5 Hydraulic Hose Sets
Hydraulic oil is conducted to the skimmer head via a hose set.
1.3 PREPARATION FOR USE
1.3.1 Hydraulic Hose Set
Unroll the hose set carefully to avoid kinking. The hose set has identical ends, and can be
used either way around. The fittings are arranged so that the connection makes the
rotation of the motors automatically correct.
1.3.2 Attaching The Hydraulic Hose Set
Attach the hydraulic lines to the side of the power unit near the bottom. The fittings are
different (male/female), so only the correct connection is possible. Connect the other end
of the set to the connection area on the skimmer head. Once again, all of the fittings are
different, so only the correct connection is possible.
1.3.3 Bleeding Hydraulic Hoses Prior To Attachment
If the hydraulic hoses were previously disconnected while the system was under pressure or
