Atom assembly instructions
Please take the time to read these basic instructions carefully before
assembling your new Atom for the first time.
Take care to find a suitable location in which to pitch your Atom. Take into
consideration factors such as the contours of the ground, sharp objects
underfoot that could damage the ground sheet and the direction of any
strong winds.
Lay out the ground sheet on the floor where you wish to erect your Atom.
It is advisable that the first time you use the bivvy it is pitched at home in your
garden to familiarise yourself with your new purchase.
The two hooks attached to the ground sheet must face downwards. A small
Aqua label indicates the doorway and as such is best positioned with the wind
coming from behind as this greatly increases stability in very high winds.
Place the Atom in the centre of the ground sheet. Kneel down and open out the
poles of the Atom, plugging together the frame sections as you go, taking care
not to force the joints or damage the spigots.
Ensure the spigots are fully inserted and that the poles form a natural curve.
Do not attempt to assemble the Atom while you are standing.
The assembled frame will be wider than the ground sheet. Attach the two rings
on the inside edges of the frame base plates to the hooks on the ground sheet.
This tensions the frame and takes up any play in the frame.
If you do not wish to use the ground sheet, a tension strap can be used.
It is essential that you do not over-tension your Atom as this can cause lasting
damage and invalidates your warranty.
