Fill the aquarium so that the
water surface is just hidden
by the frame.
Always treat the water with a
water conditioner* to remove
harmful chemicals.
Ensure that your hands and all power cables are dry
before plugging in equipment and turning power on.

Fit the light mounting
bracket to the back panel of the aquarium
Tighten the mounting
screws. Take care not to
overtighten them.
Position the light at
the desired height and
tighten the locking screw.

Position the front lid with the cutout in the location
desired. This may be used both as a feeding hole and
also to make it easier to remove the lid required.
It is recommended that the light is turned completely off for at least 8 hours per day to allow
the fish a proper night period. More than 10 hours of full light daily can encourage excessive
algae growth.
To maximise light quality, ensure that the light unit and aquarium lid are kept clean.
The light should be positioned so that prolonged staring
into the light at a distance closer than 1 m is not expected.

The light unit should be positioned a minimum of
15cm above the water surface in the aquarium.
