Startup (commissioning)
In this section we assume that all instruments required have been installed in a correct and professional way, which
means
The fuel system is purged according the engine manufacturer’s advices, and is free of leaks or air bubbles
If this is not the case, please make sure the system is properly ready.
1.
Start the engine and let it run at min. load until it has reached its operating conditions (heat exchange water
between 70 °C and 90 °C).
2. Check all connections are free of leaks.
What is to do if it is not functioning?
No signal or incorrect values on the fleet manager or GPS system
Check the following:
a.
Do you have minimum 12 VDC on the CONTOIL
®
DFM 12ECO? (see Electrical connections and specifications)
b.
Did you choose the right wire/output signal? (see Electrical connection)
c.
Check the wires for proper connection to the connectors
d.
Are all settings on the Fleet Manager or GPS system correct?
e.
It still does not work?
