Fig. 4: Systemfilter 2000
3. Starting the filter
Please follow the instructions of the components (Turboflotor 5000, cooling unit, pump)!
Fill the aquarium and systemfilter with sufficient water and check all connections to be tight. Open the ball
valves (Fig. 3, No. 13 + 14) of the UV-unit and skimmer resp. cooling unit and only start the recirculation pump
(Fig. 3, No. 7 + 16). If there is water missing in the last chamber (Fig. 3, No. 7, refill it manually immediately.
Adjust the valve of the UV-unit and skimmer (Fig. 3, No. 14) as well as the valve of the cooling unit (Fig. 3, No.
13) to the requested flow. Before the UV-sterilizer is taken into operation, let the system run for at least 45
minutes. The filter sump should have a water level of at least 30 cm.
Always provide sufficient water in the last chamber (Fig. 3, No. 7) for the recirculation pump. When using
automatic refilling, the sensor must be mounted in this chamber above the pump. The total amount of water in
the filter has not to be too high. In case of a pump failure, the inflowing water must still be collected by the
filter
.
