Water Plumbing
Overview
3.12 Domestic Hot Water Plumbing Overview
One major feature of the Aqua-Hot is that it possesses the ability to provide a continuous
supply of domestic hot water. Because the Aqua-Hot heats the domestic water
on-
demand,
there is no need for a separate Storage Type Water Heater. Adhering to the
following guidelines will ensure maximum domestic hot water efficiency.
A. The following information concerning the sizing of Water Supply Piping was taken
directly from the ANSI A119.2/NFPA 501C Standard on Recreation Vehicles, 1993
Edition. This information should be used as a general guideline:
“Piping Systems shall be sized to provide an adequate quantity of Water to each
Plumbing Fixture at a flow rate sufficient to keep the Fixture in a clean and sanitary
condition without any danger of back-flow or siphoning.”
The size of Water Supply Piping and Branch Line shall not be less than shown in
Table 4-6.5.1.
NOTE:
A Water Heater or Ice Maker shall not be counted as a Water-Using Fixture
when computing pipe sizes.
