RECHARGING THE PORTABLE POWER SOURCE
There are two ways to charge the portable power source. The first method is automatic charging with the
provided switching charger (preferred). The second is with the DC power jack through the power extension
cord. The second way is not automatic and requires monitoring or the portable power source could be dam-
aged due to overcharging.
1. With the switching charger. The portable power source is charged by switching charger with cigarette
lighter jack, (may be found on the front of your portable power source). Recharging takes approximately 4 to
6 hours for each light that does not come on when the test button is pressed. The portable power source CAN
be left connected to the switching charger indefinitely.
a.
Connect the charger to the AC outlet.
b.
Insert the charger male cigarette jack into the charging jack.
c.
Turn the safety switch to “ON” or “12V” position.
d.
Allow the portable power source to charge until the charged light comes on.
e. Once the charged light comes on, you can either disconnect the charger or charge another
three to six hours, (three hours is acceptable but to ensure maximum output capability, six
hours is preferred).
Note: Above charging hour is for reference. Charge condition will change per charger design.
2. With the Optional DC/DC Extension Cord.
a.
Start the vehicle engine.
b.
Plug one end of the power extension cord into the portable power source dc receptacle and
the other end into a vehicle lighter outlet and turn power switch to “ON” or “12V” position.
c.
Press the test button to check volt meter. If meter indicates above 13V when power switch is
in ON” or “12V” position, disconnect DC plug and turn off the power switch on your booster.
DO NOT OVERCHARGE!
This is not an automatic method of charging the portable power source. You must
frequently monitor the charging process (by pressing the test button to check the power levels) to ensure the
portable power source is not overcharged. Overcharging will damage the portable power source.
Note
: Test button needs to be pressed to check power level at volt meter.
Note: DO NOT OVERCHARGE
! This is
NOT

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS USE AS A BATTERY CHARGER
The portable power source can be used to restore a limited charge to the vehicle battery.
1. Using the dc extension cord included with the portable power source, plug one end into the portable
power source. Plug the other end into the vehicle cigarette outlet. Allow the battery to charge for 30
minutes.
2. Some vehicle ignitions must be turned to “accessory” to activate the cigar lighter socket. A defective
battery may not accept a charge from the portable power source.
3. Remove the power extension cord and start the vehicle.
