Removing the starter motor
- Remove the flywheel cover.
- Unscrew the two screws to remove the bendix
supporting plate
- Slide the bendix form its seat and take the shim
washers
- Remove the electrical connections to the starter
motor
- Unscrew the two screws to remove the starter
motor
Installing the starter motor
Follow the removal procedure but in reverse order
being careful to replace and grease the sealing O-
ring on the starter motor coupling
- Check that the lower and upper shim washers are
fitted
