Assembly guide
Before assembly, study carefully whole the Assembly guide.
Switch the ignition OFF.
Layout of individual parts of the system is obvious from the picture CONNECTION INSIDE THE CAR.
1.
Installation of sensors
•
Conditions for layout of sensors in bumpers are in the picture. Choose suitable type of brackets and mark centers of
the holes. For brackets (9) cut out or drill holes ø18mm, for brackets (11) and (12) holes ø24mm, for brackets (25)
holes ø22mm.
•
Paint the sensors, perhaps even brackets (11), (12) according to the color of the bumper. Use carton shield (19).
Before painting, apply suitable primer for plastics or Primer (15).
•
Apply Primer (15) on the brackets (9) or (25). Get it dry for at least 1 minute. Stick the bonding tapes (10).
•
Before sticking of the brackets to the bumper clean surroundings of the holes and apply Primer (15). Get it dry for
at least 1 minute. Place the sensor into the bracket, remove cover foil, insert sensor into the hole and press bracket
toughly. Adjust brackets so that connector of sensor comes out horizontally.
•
Place the green sensors into the front bumper, blue sensors into the corners of the rear bumper and black sensors
into the inner positions of the rear bumper.
•
Installation of optional TPM sensors into the tires must be done in tire service workshop.
Recommended sensors arrangement:
1 = front left
2 = front right
4 = rear left
3 = rear right
Using Parameters adjustment procedure it is possible to adapt to any other sensors arrangement.
2.
Installation of electronic control units (ECUs)
•
Electronic control units (ECUs) driving sensors (4) and (7) are intended for installation into plastic bumper (fixed
by 2 screws or plastic fastening belt (16)).
•
In case of 12 Volt installation Front ECU can be fed either directly from the car battery or from the ignition clamp.
In case of 24 Volt installation Front ECU must be fed from the ignition clamp. There is also possibility to connect
speed signal to this unit instead of the Display unit (see parameter No.15).
•
Rear ECU is fed from reverse gear light clamp.
•
Choose appropriate placement of the display holder (20) and install Display unit (6) to the dashboard. LCD display
should be seen perpendicularly by the driver or from angle of 6 hours on the clock dial! Otherwise the LCD
contrast is very poor.
•
Display control unit (6) is fed from ignition clamp (black-blue wire). The third (black-yellow) wire of the power
cord (21) is used to connect speed signal to the Display unit.
•
It is recommended to check wireless communication quality between ECUs before their final mechanical fixing
(see Remark 3 at the end of this chapter).
