5.
Registration of optional TPM sensors
•
Due to wireless communication with the tire sensors, display unit has to learn their identification numbers.
•
To do so switch the ignition ON and press and hold for four seconds both pushbuttons of the display unit. Pressure
warning symbol together with “LE” letters will appear on the display.
•
Drive slowly the car to activate data transmission from TPM sensors. Registered tires are displayed on the car icon.
•
Procedure is finished when all four tire sensors have been registered or by switching ignition OFF (if not all
sensors are in disposal). Since now, all registered tires are monitored during vehicle drive.
•
Average pressure measured in front / rear tires during registration is stored and used as required front / rear tire
pressure. You can change this value whenever later – see parameters No. 16, 17.
Rem.: Error “E2” appears on the display in case of catching transmission from more than one sensor of the same number
(sensors are numbered 1 2 3 4).
Rem. 1:
Check if setting of parameters No. 8 and 9 (meaning numbering direction of harness/ side position of ECU) is in conformity
with real situation. System is preset for ECU`s installation on the left side of the vehicle. Change these parameters if needed
- see the chapter Parameters adjustment.
Rem. 2:
Select appropriate color of display illumination by parameter No. 10 adjustment.
Rem. 3:
It is recommended to check quality of wireless communication between all ECUs. Select Service display (parameter No.14)
value = 1 to do this. Waves on antenna icon will blink visualizing communication between ECUs. This blinking should be
periodical without visible delays. If not, change Display unit position or position of ECUs driving sensors.
Rem. 4:
If vehicle speed signal is connected to the parking system it is recommended to set parameter 13 value to 0 (time window
function not activated).
