Setting Up the Veriti

Thermal Cycler
Recommended Instrument Settings
Before performing a run, be sure to set the following instrument settings:
• Instrument IP address (
)
• Instrument name (
• Current date and time (
)
• Printer information, if you want to print run methods or the run report

)
Optionally, you can also change the settings for:
• User accounts and security (
)
• Idle state temperatures for the cover and the sample block(s) (
• Durations for pauses and stand-by (
)
• “Shortcuts” to instrument functions (to be displayed on the Main Menu)

Setting the IP
Address
Note:
If your instrument is not on a network, you do not need to set the IP address.
The IP address can be assigned dynamically by a computer on the network (using
DHCP) or set manually by entering a number in the IP Address screen.
Note:
Ask your system administrator if the IP address is assigned statically or
dynamically. For static addresses, you need to know the IP address for the
instrument, the subnet mask, and the default gateway.
1. In the Main Menu screen, touch
Settings Menu
.
2. In the Settings Menu screen, touch
Admin Menu
.
3. In the Admin Menu screen, touch
Set IP Address
.
4. In the IP Settings screen, set the IP address:
