6. Main Menu 

 
The four buttons below the display screen of the dash cam provide control over all the functions of the dash cam. 
This chapter goes through the various buttons, icons and functions.

1)  The device is recording 
2)  Flashing – the GPS module is acquiring its location 
      On – GPS module has synced with the GPS satellites 
3)  Microphone is active 
4)  Current video resolution 
5)  Recording screen 
6)  Current speed as derived by the GPS module 
7)  Current date and time 
 

Operation: 

Switch

 button – shows speed and heading. Hold for 3 seconds to go to playback screen. 

Menu

 button – display full menu 

Down

 – set file lock manually 

Video

 button – go to Standby screen until movement is detected then the video will start 

recording again. 
 

1)  Viewing screen 
2)  Date 
3)  Time 
 

Operation:

 button – shows speed and heading. Hold for 3 seconds to go to playback screen. 

Menu

 button – display full menu 

Down

 – set file lock manually 

Video

 button – go to Record screen 

 

1)  Video status – emergency recording and will not be overwritten 
2)  Video screen 
3)  Recorded date 
4)  Recorded time 
5)  Recording screen 
6)  Current speed as derived by the GPS module 
7)  Current date and time

 – cycle through all the video files stored on the SD card

 button – pressing this button will play and pause the selected video
