Mounting the System

NOTE:

Use caution when lifting and mounting the system.

The system MUST be mounted using the provided

Mounting Bracket.

The system comes with a Mounting Bracket. When mounting

the system, pay attention to the following guidelines:

y

Allow sufficient access for cartridge replacement.

The system should be mounted with 3

inches to the botton of the system.

y

DO NOT mount the system above an electrical outlet.

y

Mount the system before the consumable water

filtration processes.

y

Plan your mounting accordingly.

1.

Secure the Mounting Bracket and Standoff (provided) into

wall studs with heavy duty hardware capable of supporting

at least 25 lbs. (Mounting hardware not supplied)

2.

With the mounting bracket securely mounted to the wall,

insert the filter head on the wall bracket noting the inlet and

outlet and directional arrow on the head (Figure 5).

3.

Attach the adaptor to the filter head inlet, finger tight only.

Do not use pipe tape or dope on the threads, and do not

use a wrench (Figure 6).

4.

Attach the Flush Valve to the outlet port of the filter head,

finger tight only. Do not use pipe tape or dope on the

threads, and do not use a wrench (Figure 6).

5.

Attach the hose supplied with the Flush Valve to the valve

outlet.

6.

Attach the Water Meter (if available) to the outlet of the

Flush Valve, finger tight only.

7.

Attach an adaptor to the outlet of the Water Meter (if

available), finger tight only.

8.

Connect the inlet to the water supply. It is recommended

that an inlet shut-off valve (not provided) be installed ahead

of the filter system.

9.

Connect the outlet of the filter system to the water using

equipment.

10.

Unwrap the filter cartridge and remove the protective cap.

Mark the date of installation on the filter cartridge label.

11.

Install the filter cartridge into the filter head. When viewed

from above the head, turn the cartridge counter-clockwise

into the thread of the filter head. The cartridge will come to

a stop when fully installed.

12.

Open the inlet valve and let water enter the filter head and

cartridge.

13.

Open the Flush Valve and let water out the Flush Valve

hose into a bucket. Flush at least 4 gallons (15 L), until the

water outler is clear and free of air bubbles. Do not

consume or use this flush water.

CAUTION

DO NOT use the Rinse Valve for consumable water.

14.

Close the Flush Valve and look for leaks at all fittings.
