SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use.
Save these instructions for future reference.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not working properly. Unplug the power cord when the
appliance is not in use.
The appliance is not intended to be used by, or in the vicinity of children.
Do not place the appliance:

near sources of heat such as radiators, tumble dryers etc.

where it can be exposed to splashing water, oil or other liquids
-
where it is exposed to direct sunlight
-
near bathtubs, showers, wash basins or swimming pools
-
in the greenhouse
-
near flammable gases or substances
-
behind curtains or near objects that obstruct the circulation of air
-
outdoors
Always store the appliance upright, otherwise the compressor can get damaged.
If the power cord or plug get damaged they must be replaced by an authorised service centre,
because this work requires special tools.
Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug before cleaning, before moving the appliance and
when it is not in use. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
Always switch off the appliance with the POWER button before unplugging the power cord.
The permitted operating temperature is 4
– 32°C.
Never remove the water container when the appliance is running.
Never poke your fingers or any objects into the inlet or outlet openings
– risk of electric shock, fire
and/or personal injury.
Do not expose the appliance to splashing water, or immerse it in water or any other liquid.
Clean the appliance regularly according to the instructions. Switch off the appliance and unplug the
power cord before cleaning.
Do not cover the appliance.
Do not use aerosol or flammable products on, or near the appliance.
The appliance is maintenance-free. If the power cord or plug get damaged they must be replaced
by an authorised service centre.
Switch off the appliance, unplug the power cord and empty the water container before moving the
appliance.
The appliance has automatic defrosting, which is activated at room temperatures below 5°C. The
appliance starts and stops automatically.
Before use
Allow the appliance to stand upright for at least 24 hours before using for the first time, especially
after it has been transported.
Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface so that it cannot tip over. Any water that runs out can
cause material damage and the risk of electric shock and/or fire.
Leave a free space of a least 20 cm in front of and behind the appliance. Do not place the
appliance under furniture or in a cupboard, where there is poor air circulation.
Always check before use that the air inlet and air outlet are not blocked. The outlet nozzle must
always be unobstructed when the appliance is running.
Check before use that all the covers are correctly fitted.
Do not use extension cords, multiple sockets or variable controls
– risk of fire as a result of
overheating.
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate. Only connect to
an earthed mains supply. The mains socket should be easily accessible.
Always pull the power cord all the way out of the cord winder before plugging in, otherwise there is
a risk of fire as a result of overheating. Do not touch the plug or power cord with wet hands or other
wet parts of your body.
