3. To adjust the
distance between the hook tip ③ and the
needle ②, loosen the hook block screws ⑥ and the gear
screws ⑤. Adjust the distance to 0.05-0.1 mm. Then tighten
all screws.
4. Adjust the guard plate of the hook by bending it so
that the
distance between the plate ⑧ and the needle
⑦ is 0.1 -0.2 mm.
The guard plate is intended to prevent contact of the
needle with the hook tip, if the needle bends.
Adjust the distance when changing the needle size.
