F TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Solution
1. Broken thread
(2 - 3 mm left on the
bottom side)
1. Damage int the path of
thread, damaged tip of the
needle or the hook. 1. Sand the surface with
sandpaper. Sand the hook
with a file.
2. Upper thread tension is
too high. 2. Reduce the upper thread
tension.
3. The needle is touching the
tip of the hook. 3. Adjust the distance
between the needle and the
hook (see D8).
4. Insufficient oiling of the
hook. 4. Adjust the amount of
lubrication (see E2).
5. Upper thread tension is
too low. 5. Increase the upper thread
tension.
6. The thread lever spring is
too strong, the range of
movement is too small. 6. Reduce spring force,
increase the range of
motion.
7. Incorrect timing of the
needle and hook. 7. Adjust needle and hook

2. Skipping stitches
