TPDOC Settings
When you first start TPDOC, you need to make a few initial settings that will be the
typical configuration for touch panel-to-TPDOC communications. Refer to your
computer’s or other RS–232 device’s user’s manual for specific information about
communications data and baud rates.
Here is an example of how to make the settings to LOAD, SEND, and PRINT from
your touch panel to the TPDOC program running on your computer. Don’t use this
procedure unless you actually want to change the default settings.
1.
Have the TPDOC program running on your computer.
2.
Press the F5 key to select the Communications menu. Use the down arrow to
highlight the Configure option and press enter. A menu similar to the one in
Figure 24 will appear on your screen.
3.
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the preferred option and press
the enter key to select an option. When you finish selecting the appropriate
options, press F10 to save the new settings in the TPDOC.CFG file and exit back
to the main screen.
Now, whenever you run the TPDOC program, the options you selected will be the
default settings. The TPDOC program defaults to the last configuration settings.

You can change the com-
munication configuration at
any time. Configuration
changes may also require
changes to connected
