Replacing the Lithium Battery

Overview

The AXB-F117’s lithium battery has a life of approximately 5 years to protect its
memory. When DC power is on, the battery is not used. When you install the AXB-
F117, record for future reference the date the battery should be replaced.

Replacing the Battery

To replace the battery:

1. 

Discharge the static electricity from your body.

2. 

Unplug all external connectors from the AXB-F117.

3. 

Remove the four pan-head screws from the back of the enclosure.

4. 

Gently pull the two enclosure halves apart.

5. 

Grasp the battery on both sides at the bottom of the holder and carefully slide it
out of its socket as shown in Figure 31.

Warning  

All data and presets in

AXB-F117 memory are

erased when you replace the

battery. You must re-program

the presets after removing

the battery from the AXB-

F117.
