Installation Procedures
Incoming Inspection
Carefully unpack and inspect the received equipment. The items listed in Table 1 should be present. Report any
damaged items to the carrier involved. Report any shortage to your supplier.

Installation is to be carried out in accordance with the instructions included in this manual, or later revision. AMS
accepts no liability arising from installations deviating from the installation described herein.
Unless otherwise stated, adhere to the standard practices described in FAA AC 43.13-1B, Acceptable Methods
Techniques, and Practices
– Aircraft Inspection and Repair, Change 1, dated 8 September 1998.
Installation approval is the responsibility of the end user.
Structural Installation
The AFDAU-T1 can be installed in any location in the aircraft suitable for its mass and mounting requirements.
Consideration should be given to locating the unit such that the power and status lights are visible, and the USB port
is accessible, during maintenance.
Wiring Installation
All wiring is to be completed in accordance with the notes and diagrams contained in Section 9 of this manual.
