Smoke Oil Fill 

 

 

1.  Remove the wing nut from the smoke oil fill point. 
2.  Inject 10ml to 20ml of smoke oil, do not over fill as this will produce excessive smoke and lead to 

extended test times and fan usage. 

3.  Replace the wing nut ensuring that it is tight.

User Instructions 

8.1  Paring Instructions 

1.  To activate pairing mode, press the ‘C’ button on the controller twice to activate the pairing mode 

blinking Smoke, Heat and Fan LED’s with a beep sound. 

2.  To cancel the pairing mode, press the ‘C’ button. 
3.  To complete the pairing  mode, press the ‘C’  button on the remote control or the  ‘C’  icon  on the 

FireView Smartphone Application. 

4.  If pairing is successful, LED lights will blink 3 times and make a beep sound. 

 

8.2  Controller Instructions 

1.  Power up the controller using the ‘Power On’ switch. 
2.  Locate detector tester rubber gaiter over the detector located on the ceiling, adjust the length of the 

pole where required. 

3.  Press either the Heat or Smoke switch according to the detector type under test. 
4.  Heat and smoke are created in 5 and 3 seconds after the heating element is fully warmed up, 

respectively. 

5.  The unit has a built-in fan which can be used to expel smoke from the smoke detector following the 

activation test. To start the fan, press the ‘D’ button. 

6.  When heat generation times needs to be extended for fixed temperature detector testing, press the 

‘C’ button to extend for approximately 2 minutes. 

7.  A  Smartphone  application is also  available for Android  devices. Please  contact your local Ampac
