Betriebsmodus EC - BGE 5510 dPro EC
Produkte mit EC Funktionalität sind für den Betrieb in
EtherCAT Netzwerken vorgesehen. Sie unterstützen
Distributed Clocks und können von Steuerungen unter-
schiedlicher Hersteller angesteuert werden, z. B. Beckhoff
oder Omron.
Sie können über verschiedene Varianten angesteuert wer-
den: DS402, Quickstart oder Herstellerobjekte. Unsere
Empfehlung ist, die dPro EC Elektronik über Quickstart
Befehle anzusteuern, da damit eine schnelle Inbetriebnah-
me möglich ist.

Um Produkte mit EC Funktionalität in Betrieb zu nehmen,
benötigen Sie entweder die Software „Drive Assistant 5“
oder eine
Beckhoff
Steuerung mit entsprechender Inbe-
triebnahmesoftware. Für Letzteres erhalten Sie in unse-
rem Downloadbereich die passende ESI Datei.
Die EC Elektronik unterstützt das DS402 Profil und Dis-
tributed Clocks. Damit lassen sich hochdynamische und
synchrone Servoanwendungen realisieren. Die Inbetrieb-
nahme über Beckhoff TwinCAT wird voll unterstützt und
gestaltet sich sehr einfach.

Operating Mode - BGE 5510 dPro EC
Products with EC functionality are designed for operation
in EtherCAT networks. They support distributed Clocks
and can be controlled by different manufacturer‘s control-
lers, e.g. Beckhoff or Omron.
They can be controlled via various variants: Profidrive,
quick start or manufacturer‘s objects. Our recommenda-
tion is controlling the dPro EC electronics via quick start
commands to permit quick commissioning.
The products can be operated in the following operating
modes:

The commissioning software Drive Assistant 5 that sup-
ports in commissioning of EC motors can be found there
as well.

In order to take products with EC functionality into opera-
tion, you either need the „Drive Assistant 5“ software or a
Beckhoff
control system with the corresponding commis-
sioning software. For the latter you will find the appropria-
te ESI file in our download area.
The EC elektronics supports the DS402 profile and Dis-
tributed Clocks. This allows realising highly dynamic and
synchronous servo applications. The commissioning via
Beckhoff TwinCAT is fully supported and very simple.
