3.5 – Out-of-Service Conditions & Error Codes
System
Failures
Below are conditions that will cause the machine to go into an
“Out-of-Service” mode.
If the unit is in sleep mode when an error occurred, the fail
lamp will flash indicating that an error occurred.
If the error is not cleared and a bill is inserted, the validator
will not accept the bill and the fail lamp will have a stronger
flash.
After inactivity from either a switch press or a bill detection,
the unit re-enters sleep mode.

Coin Hopper Error Conditions
Low Comp
Compact hopper (Asahi WH-3) coin level is low.
Compact
TimeOut
The compact hopper did not complete the payout in time.
OptoBlkd
ccTalk hopper optic sensor is blocked.
Fraud
ccTalk hopper optic sensor detected a fraud attempt.
Low
ccTalk hopper coin level is low.
No Comm
The main logic board is unable to communicate with the cctalk
hopper.
Current
ccTalk hopper motor current level is higher than normal
operational range.
TimeOut
ccTalk hopper did not complete the payout in time.
Checksum
ccTalk hopper’s internal firmware has a checksum error (fatal
error)

Bill Jam
Bill validator opto sensor was blocked for longer than 50
seconds
Low Batt
The battery voltage has reached 10VDC
