Determining if the Heating Element has
Expired and Needs to be Replaced
1. Disconnect the handle from the body of the iron. This is
accomplished by loosening the set screw in the handle until the
iron is loose in the handle.
2. Slide the handle down on the cord and remove the cloth tape.
3. Perform Continuity Test (See instructional picture below).
