Connecting Your Speakers

Turn Off Your Amplifier
It is important that your amplifier or receiver is turned off before connecting or
disconnecting your loudspeakers; your amp/receiver or loudspeakers may be
subjected to severe damage if this precaution is not taken.

Selection of Speaker Wire
Selecting the correct size (“gauge”) of speaker wire will aid in proper
performance of your loudspeakers. The “gauge” of wire required is dependent
upon how long the distance between amplifier and speaker is to be. The
following chart will guide you as the minimum gauge of wire we recommend for
certain distances.

These wire sizes are typically available at most specialty stores. You may want
to discuss other specialty wire alternatives with your AMC dealer.
