In Case of Difficulty
AMC speakers are designed and manufactured with long term reliability in
mind. However, for one reason or another they may at sometime require
service.
If one channel is distorted, missing certain frequencies or altogether dead, you
must first identify whether it is the speaker or another component that is faulty.
Interchange the speaker wire connections on the amplifier or receiver, so that
the right speaker is connected to the left channel output and the left speaker is
connected to the right channel output. If the same speaker has the problem,
chances are that the speaker is faulty. If the problem switches to the other
speaker, than another component is likely defective.
Other problems such as hum on both channels, proper operation while using
phono, but improper on tuner, or conversely are not related to speaker fault.
Should these hints not determine which component is at fault, please check
with your AMC dealer for assistance. The dealer will either repair the problem
or direct you to your nearest authorized AMC Service Centre.
