Incorrect water level selection
Press WATER LEVEL pad to raise water level..
Overloaded wash tub
Largest dry load level should not be higher than bottom of
fabric softener dispenser or top of agitator.
Warm or hot water not hot
enough
Water heater temperature set too low or
positioned too far from washer
Adjust water heater as necessary.
Hot water being used elsewhere in house
Avoid using hot water elsewhere before or during washer
use, or there may not be enough hot water for proper
cleaning. If problem continues, enlarge capacity of hot water
system, or use for only one application at a time.
Water drains slowly or does
not drain
Drain hose kinked or clogged
Clean and straighten drain hose.
Water leaks
Loose fill hose connections
Check and tighten all hose/faucet connections. Install rubber
sealing washers provided.
Clogged drain pipes
Unclog drain pipes. Call plumber if necessary.
Oversudsing
Use less detergent.
Incorrect wash and rinse
temperatures
Hot and cold water hoses connected to
wrong supply faucets
Check hose connections. Connect hot water hose to hot
water faucet; connect cold water hose to cold water faucet.
Water enters washer, but tub
does not fill
Incorrect standpipe height for drain hose
Recommended standpipe height is 36” (91.44 cm); for low
standpipes, install Siphon Break Kit (part #562P3). See
Installation Instructions for details.

Invalid selection made.
Refer to “Display” section for all invalid options per cycle.

(Open Thermistor Error)
Indicates an open thermistor circuit.
Unplug washer and call for service
SH
(Shorted Thermistor Error)
Indicates a short in the thermistor.
Unplug washer and call for service.
P
(Drain Error)
Water supply problem in SPIN cycle.
Check for pinches or kinks in water inlet hoses. Straighten
if necessary.
Check water inlet hose filter screens and clean if needed.
Verify that water supply is turned on.
If ‘rP’ code continues, call service.
P
(Pressure Switch Error)
Washer has sensed a pressure switch error.
Washer will not operate when this error is
displayed.
Check for pinches or kinks in water inlet hoses. Straighten
if necessary.
Check water inlet hose filter screens and clean if needed.
Verify that water supply is turned on.
If ‘bP’ code continues, call service.
