8 ASSEMBLY OF YOUR HOOD
This is a suggested installation. All kitchens are
different. If you are unsure, please consult with a
trained person.
Fit the flue flaps (only if you are using ducting)
The flue flaps are designed to prevent air/wind
travelling from outside to your hood when not in use.
They comprise of two semi-circular plastic flaps that
are pushed open by escaping air when you turn on
your hood. Once fitted the plastic pins/tabs on the
flaps point upwards.
1. To fit each flap, locate the first hinge tab in the
locator hole on the motor assembly (area 1 in Fig.
12). Then bend the plastic flap slightly to locate the
second hinge tab in its own locator.
