Step 10 – Commit this change to the GCS with the 'SET' button.
Step 11 ‐ Move aileron lever and check that aileron deflection
drawing is correct; if necessary check the corresponding 'Inv'
(invert) checkbox on the appropriate joystick panel and commit this
change to the GCS with the 'SET' button.
Step 12 ‐ Repeat steps 5 to 11 for the elevator and rudder levers.
Once calibrated, each output should swing from ‐ 28 degrees to +28
degrees.
Step 13 – Move throttle lever and note which of the four
joystick panels (labeled 'Joystick 1' to 'Joystick 4') is associated
with this motion – you will see its value field changing.
Step 14 ‐ Assign the corresponding joystick option to the
Throttle panel using the drop ‐ down menu.
Step 15 ‐ Commit this change to the GCS with the 'SET' button.
Step 16 ‐ Move lever and check that throttle indicator drawing
is correct; if necessary check the corresponding 'Inv' (invert)
checkbox on the appropriate joystick panel and commit this
change to the GCS with the 'SET' button.
Step 17 ‐ On the joystick, place throttle trim down.
Step 18 ‐ If joystick is not inverted, move lever till minimum
value is observed on the joystick panel, and copy this value into
the 'Min' field. If inverted, move lever till maximum value is
observed on the joystick panel, and copy this value into the
'Max' field.
Step 19 – On the joystick, place throttle trim up.
Step 20 ‐ If joystick is not inverted, move lever till maximum value
observed on the joystick panel, and copy this value into the 'Max'
field. If inverted, move lever till minimum value is observed on the
joystick panel, and copy this value into the 'Min' field.
Step 21 ‐ Update these changes into the GCS with the 'SET' button.
Once calibrated, the throttle indicator drawing should swing from
approximately 12 (idle) from 100 (full throttle) when the trim is
placed in the middle position. If trim and lever are down it should
display 0 (engine cut).
Step 22 – Toggle the switch to be used for manual mode on the
joystick and note which row on the Buttons panel displays
on/off labels accordingly; mark the checkbox that falls both in
this row and in the main column.
Step 23 ‐ Repeat procedure in step 23 for the three user
function buttons.
