Troubleshooting
5.2.1: Novus 1800TP UPS Troubleshooting
For more UPS troubleshooting information see Sections 3.8 and 3.9.
Battery Lifetime
The maintenance free batteries can be affected by many factors including: operating temperature; number
of discharges during the battery’s life; charging characteristics and low voltage cutoffs. This system
complies with the battery manufacturer’s specifications for optimum performance and the longest possible
battery life.
In normal operation, the batteries may increase in capacity during the first three to twelve months. After
the first 10 to 15 discharges, the available backup power may increase by up to 20%. Once at this peak
they slowly lose capacity and eventually cannot provide backup power.
