3. Installation
3.1 General remarks regarding proper installation
HDE circular duct electric heaters are made in a way that allows them to be directly connected to ventilation
ducts. HDE circular duct electric heaters installed with a system of ducts and circular fittings by Alnor constitute
a complete system that meets the highest requirements. The factory-mounted gasket on the HDE circular duct
electric heater ensures proper positioning in the duct. This allows for proper installation without the risk of
leakage.
Before installation, check if the ducts, fittings and the HDE circular duct electric heater are not damaged. Next,
insert the heater into the duct up to the limiter. Gently rotate the device for easy insertion. After inserting the
device, remember to fasten it with lap screws or rivets. If it is required to apply insulating mass or tape, bear
in mind that they require min. thermal of +250
o
C.
3.2 Place of installation in the ventilation system
HDE circular duct electric heaters may operate as air heaters directly supplied by the intake, or as additional
heating for air upstream from the plenum box and intake ventilator. The above-mentioned places of installation
are shown in Figure 2.
