Function name:

Loopback Test

Function description:

The MS888G2 has support for two types of loopback tests including an Internal and an
External loopback test. The internal loopback test is an internal test and no test signal is
sent out of the switch. The external loopback test will send the test signal to its link
partner to check if the port has got an active link. If there is no active link the external
loopback test will fail.

Parameters description:

Port No:

Displays all ports on the switch.

Internal Loopback:

Displays the internal loopback test results.

External Loopback:

Displays the external loopback test results.

Run Again:

Click on this button to perform the loopback tests.
