Chapter 6: Deploying the SG-9100
In addition, each Service Gateway has an “
admin
” password, which is used to enable
secure communication between the NetXplorer and the SG-9100. Whenever a
NetXplorer Operator wishes to add a new In-line Platform to the NetXplorer the admin
password of that In-line Platform must be entered. In addition, no policy changes can be
saved without the correct admin password. The default admin password is
allot
.
NOTE
Allot STRONGLY recommends that the default passwords are
changed to ensure a minimum level of security.
To change the sysadmin password:
Log into the SG-9100 via the iLO Remote Console.
Enter
sysadmin
for the login and the sysadmin password (default
is
sysadmin
), and then press
<Enter>
.
Enter
passwd
and then press
<Enter>
.
Enter a new password and press
<Enter>.
The password must be
between 5 and 8 characters. You can use a combination of upper
and lower case letters and numbers.
Re-enter the new password and press
<Enter>
.
TIP
You can further protect access to the Service Gateway by
limiting the hosts that are allowed to manage the unit. For
more information see the NetXplorer Operation Guide.
To change the admin password:
Enter
sysadmin
for the login and the sysadmin password (default
is
sysadmin
), and then press
<Enter>
.
Enter
change_admin_pass
and then press
<Enter>
to run the
script to change the admin password.
Enter a new admin password and press
<Enter>.
Re-enter the new password and press
<Enter>
.
