6.0 Mounting Information
6.1 Top Mounting Frame Options
Options for mounting frames include the:
'Flat-top' (Fig. 6-1)
'XSF' top frame (Fig. 6-2).
6.1.1 Flat-top Frame
IMPORTANT
The Ho-Pac does not include a mounting bracket.
Order separately. Bracket design is carrier
specific. The carrier’s bucket pins will be used
whenever possible. Ordering requires complete
information about the carrier, including make,
model, series and serial number. If equipped with
a quick coupler, additional information is required.
Make, model, series and serial number.
The design of the Flat Top Frame is illustrated in Fig.
6-1.
Fig. 6-1 Flat Top Frame and Mounting Bracket
NOTE: Mounting pin shown for reference. Allied
brackets are typically designed to utilize the carrier’s
bucket pins.
Use the provided bolts to fasten the mounting bracket
to the proper set of holes located in the top plate.
With the bucket removed from the carrier and the
mounting bracket bolted to the top frame, the Ho-Pac
is ready to be attached to the carrier. It is attached to
the carrier in the same manner as mounting a bucket.
Allied offers an array of mounting brackets (sold
separately) to fit virtually any carrier, including those
equipped with pin-grab or hook-type quick mounting
couplers.
Each flat top frame has a series of holes located in
the top plate. Dimensions of the bolt pattern are
located in Section 12 of this manual.
Hydraulic breakers and other work tools from Allied
share these same hole patterns. Information
regarding bolts used for fastening the bracket is
shown in Table 6.1.
