Reviewing Safety Precautions
Please review the following safety precautions before you begin to
install the switch or any of its components. Refer to Translated Electrical
Safety and Emission Information on page 92 for translated safety
statements in your language. (The laser warnings apply only to Fast
Ethernet switches and expansion modules that feature a fiber optic
port.)

Do not stare into the laser beam.

Electric Shock Hazard: To prevent electric shock, do not remove the
cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. The unit contains
hazardous voltages and should only be opened by a trained and
qualified technician.

periods of lightning activity.

Power cord is used as a disconnection device: To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord.
