6.9 Reusable Hose Fittings

Kit hoses equipped with reusable fittings allow hoses to be cut to the exact length
required for installation.

NOTICE

Do not shorten hoses to the point where they
w i l l b e s t re t ch e d o r k i n ke d w h e n i n s t a l l e d .

Make sure hoses are not pinched, rubbed, twisted,
or otherwise damaged throughout their full range of
movement. Use hose clamps to secure hoses if necessary.

6.9.1 Remove Fitting

To shorten a hose, remove the reusable end-fitting using the following procedures:

Clamp the fitting socket in a vise.
