Pan Installation Safety - Lifting Bridle
This section details the proper technique to utilize the lifting bridle system in a
safe manner to install concrete finishing pans.
(NOTE: Images are for illustration purposes only)
1. Verify the machine blades are at a 0° pitch.
1. Attach the lifting bridle to the machine shown in section "Lifting Safety"
2. Slowly lift the machine in a safe manner to a height that is required to
safely install the pans. This is typically 6"-8" above floor level.
3. Carefully slide the pans under the machine making sure that you are
aware of the corners on the blades as they are sharp.
4. Align the pans so that the clips will not be crushed when the machine is
lowered back down.
5. Slowly lower the machine down onto the pans. Make sure the blades are
going into the proper gaps. (Typically the pans can only be installed one
way)
6. Once the machine is on securely on the ground with the pans underneath,
remove the lifting bridle from the machine.
7. Start the machine and slowly increase the throttle until the blades begin
turning and engaging the pans. The machine is now ready to finish the
concrete utilizing the pans.
NOTE
: Utilizing the lifting sling(bridle) and the dolly jacks are intended only for
site transportation and the installation of pans and blades. DO NOT use them
for regular maintenance without the additional use of jack stands to insure
stability of the machine.
Use a lifting sling (bridle) with a capacity of at least 2:1 weight ratio for
the equipment being hoisted.
