
Parking Brake
See page 3-5 for brake schematic.
Adjust parking brake so that when engaged, parking brake will hold a loaded buggy on 15% slope (8.5 degrees).
If parking brake does not operate as indicated, adjust as follows:
Ø
Adjust service brake per the troubleshooting guide above.
Ø
Remove clevis cotter pin (31) & clevis pin (35).
Ø
Loosen hex nut (37) 4 turns.
Ø
Tighten clevis (34) 1 turn clockwise.
Ø
Replace clevis pin (35) and test parking brake.
Ø
If required, continue to tighten clevis by turning clockwise until proper parking brake adjustment is made.
Ø
Replace cotter pin (31) with a NEW 1/8” X 3/4” Long Plated Cotter Pin.
Ø
Tighten hex nut (37).
Ø
Apply approved lube to all brake pivot points (See Maintenance Section).
