MP-Series Heavy-duty Electric Cylinders
Installing the Rear Clevis Mounting Kit
Follow this procedure to install a rear clevis mount on an MP-Series electric cylinder.
1.
Prepare a contamination-free area in which to work.
2.
Remove the four bolts that secure the end cap.
Bolts sizes are shown here.
3.
Set aside the mounting bolts for reuse.
4.
Clean the mounting surface and verify it is undamaged before continuing.
5.
Carefully position the rear clevis mount and seal on the mounting surface.
The seal is included in the rear clevis mounting kit.
6.
By using an alternating torque pattern, evenly torque each of the four mounting bolts to
value shown on
page 9
.
ATTENTION:
Proper attachment of the rear clevis mount is important to achieving an IP67 in a
static condition. Failure to observe this procedure could result in damage to the electric cylinder
and its components.
